Update

I was gonna do one today. But left it a bit late. Train to London in 90 minutes and still gotta go home, have a cup of tea, pack stuff, figure out what to take (first), eat an egg sandwich, plus get t'station, etc. So no time. Been at uni all day but consumed with my dual roles of Referee Secretary and Squash League Coordinator, which generally takes up my Mondays these days. Thought I might write a bunch. Then, an hour ago, I thought I might write a quick list. Now, I'm writing this. But -

Suffice to say:

1. It's been ages since I've writ owt - and not just here. Things have changed in that regard. Maybe the MA (in Creative Writing) put me off. Too dry. Too academic. Or maybe it was the counselling, where I realised how wonderful and better talking was - rather than just going off in finger-tapping indulgences. Also, I sold my laptop five or six weeks ago and haven't really missed it. Though writing/book ideas do still persist.

2. In any case, I'm going to see Amma this week, and I've a feeling something will change there and it's sort of the change I've been waiting for since I handed in my final piece of work a few weeks back and became once again free and loose. Although I may be wrong in that: it may be nothing at all. My bones, though, say it's something to do with

3. Women. Plenty of em. Everything's gone free love and sixties. No attachment. Very groovy. Just, perhaps, as it should be.

4. That may be all. Life is much as it ever was. I stopped being mad once I stopped living in rubbish places, and especially when I got back in my flat. Started the proper refereeing again. Got into things to keep me busy/productive/distracted/useful. Sport and organising sport. Seeing people. That sort of thing.

5. Actually, that's pretty much it. What more to say? For the two people that have wondered where I've been. For the seven billion who didn't wonder at all. Ha! Real life, baby: that's where it's at.

And now I go back to it.
