Another day in the life

Wake up. What to do. Cup of tea. Philadelphia and jam on toast. Feel desperate. Write a letter to Mother Meera asking for help. Make an enormous curry for today, for tomorrow, for the day after. Learn some songs quickly and dress in nice clothes and take the bus to Canterbury for some busking and a bit of Oxfam and maybe sell some books. Learn songs, sing, think I sound okay. Then around noon get a text from Diego saying, I'm in Canterbury, get a bus and bring your guitar and we'll do some busking. Think, how crazy! For I've never taken a bus to Canterbury - always ride bike - nor have I busked there in something like six years. Signs. Get it together, take bus, find Diego, sing quite poorly in the street - yet madly and funly when joined by crazy mad Diego murdering Billie Jean and Monkey Monkey - and make pretty much no money but sell one book. Walk about with him and his two female Spanish friends. Eat something nice. Laugh a lot. Sit in the sun in the park. Go to Oxfam for a cup of tea and more giggles. Do a bit of work and a bit more busking. Buy some crisps and get the late bus home. A good day. Mother Meera says even the act of writing to her sincerely can help move things along. This day was different - more energy, more joy, the meeting of strangers and entertaining them easy and without awkwardness - and maybe something's changed. Although Diego makes everything easy. Eat curry. Watch Match of The Day. Sleep, buzzed up. Yes, it would be nice if things have turned a corner. But should still post letter.
